NWR-So much pain (whine)

I went to the doctor today and found out I have ovarian cysts (1 on each side). One is really...REALLY...hurting! I tried taking Advil and the pain seems to be getting worse! It is actually knocking me off my seat! Had to take a sick day.
Sorry to complain, especially about a personal issue. I feel like such a baby!

try a heating pad. My roommate in college had them and that helped her!

I have them too, doc gave me vioxx only to take when I have the pain. It works great. I hope you feel better!

Re: NWR-So much pain (whine)

Call the doc and explain the amount of pain you are having. A prescription pain killer may in order... these cysts can actually rupture, not something to fool around with.

I called the doctor again, they told me to take extra strength tylenol and just give it time. I took Advil already and it did not work. I will wait until it is out of my system then maybe I will go for a muscle relaxor or something.

I will try a warm compress...I just feel warm right now, that's why I haven't tried it yet.

Re: NWR-So much pain (whine)

Do try a heating pad or a warm bath - theycan def. help. When I had them my doctor gave me a prescription pain killer but I don't recall which one. You might want to request that.

Re: NWR-So much pain (whine)

Unless you are supersensitive, you can take the tylenol on top of the advil without overmedicating yourself.

Unfortunately, I am very sensitive to meds. My dad has vioxx, so maybe I will try that, but in the past it did upset my stomach (I'm actually not supposed to take Advil either, but is the only thing that works for me, usually)
