NWR I got a new teaching job!!!!!

Ok so I have been teaching in a Catholic school for 3 years and I finally got a job in a public school!!!! I'm going to be teaching 2nd grade in Franklin Square

I'm so excited ...but at the same time I'm sad about leaving my old school. It was a small school and all of the students and parents were great. My principal was going to give me a week off after the wedding so I could go on a honeymoon...and now I'm going to have to cancel the honeymoon or move it to February break.... Its going to be tough to start a new job with all of the craziness of the wedding...but the difference from salary will make up for it

I know that there were a lot of teachers on here looking for a job. If anyone wants to work in Catholic school let me know. I'm leaving a great position.

Congrats! I know your feeling about starting a new job along with planning a wedding. I taught in the city for a very long time and got a job on LI this year. I am as overwhelmed as you are I am sure. Wishing you the best of luck in both your job and planning.

Congrats, I too know how you feel. I have been teaching in the city for 3 1/2 years and got a job in Levittown for September. Not only a new school but a completely new position. I'm going from a 2nd grade teacher to a reading specialist. Its gonna be stressful with that plus planning a wedding, but the money can't be beat. Wish you luck, it'll be great.
