Has anyone done this or can anyone recommend someone that can?



OH, and do boys wear a gown or do they wear a pants suit? My parents said my brothers wore the gown but I don't know if it's different now?

You can find a seamstress and have it done. They usually use the train (if you had one long enough) from your wedding gown.
IMO, a boy can wear a gown, but not one made of a wedding dress since it may be too 'frilly' for a boy. I think a boy in a very simple gown is fine and people do still do that. Mostly boys were little suits now, but traditionally gowns were for all babies.

Both of my girls wore christening gowns made from wedding gowns. My eldest daughter wore a gown made from my mom's wedding gown and my 2nd born wore a gown made from my aunt (who is like my sis) gown. I swas lucky enough to have my grandmother make the gowns, but I know that there are seamstress; in Huntington that specialize in this, also in Northport on larkfield Rd. This is soooo very sentimental and has become such an heirloom in our family. Also, Irish custom has boys wearing a gown, even though most Dads don't love this idea
