Looking for an Apartment in Nassau

Hi Everyone

This is my first time on the board. My FH and I are looking for an apartment somewhere in Nassau. I would like to be in the Mineola area...but we are flexible. We were supposed to live in his apartment in Babylon but he has to move. It was an apartment in a house and now the owners want to renovate. We would like to be in a building but we are open to a house apartment. Does anyone know of any apartments? Building we should look into? Or know how much it is if we go through a realistate agent for a rental? Im sort of at a loss of how to go about doing this...up till now I have lived at home . Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Kelly

Re: Looking for an Apartment in Nassau

I think that might be a little far for me. It would be a long commute to work. Thanks anyway.

We rented a coop in Mineola - it was so nice! We were there for 5 yrs before buying a house. Call Iris at Random Real Estate in Williston Park - she found us this one and it was listed with her when we left last mth

Re: Looking for an Apartment in Nassau

FH and I are renting a co-op in Mineola only a block from the train station. We are really paying for the convenience though--over $1500 for a 1 bedroom. I used to live in another building down the block from us. It was a very large studio with a dining area for about $1000 + utilities. It wasn't nearly as updated as our current building though . I would suggest driving around the area and taking down the phone numbers of buildings that interest you--this way you don't have to pay a realtor fee. Also check out www.dsapub.com--it has all the Pennysaver listings. Good luck!!
