Help me to ask my Bridal Party to be part of my special day!

I need some help to ask my bridesmaids and groomsmen to be part of my briday party. Does anyone have any suggestions?

They have really cute cards that ask them. I wish I could help more, everyone I have in my bridal party kind of just knew I was going to ask them, it was very informal.

I ordered the cards and they were a hit. I wrote personal notes to each of the girls in the cards. I got them from paperstyle:

I'm in the same boat! I have only asked my sister, who already knew since I was born that she would be my MOH, and my best friend to be in my bridal party so far. I am just going to call the other 3 this weekend and ask them.
After I talk to them on the phone, I may also send them a 'Thanks for saying Yes' type card... but I'm not sure about that yet.

I did the same-- I did not get any bridesmaid stationary- just really pretty notecards and I thought about what to write in each one.

I typed everything out ahead of time- then copied it into the notes so I didn't screw up. Everyone was so surprised by the letters they received in the mail. I was happy with how it was done.. In the notes I asked them to come to a bridesmaid brunch that I hosted for them- since I wanted to have everyone together since I didn;t ask in person. At the brunch, I gave them each a little gift.

i gave them each this beanie with a note asking if they'd be a bridesmaid.

i made like a collage i guess you would call it. it had pics of us together and a separate poem for each of them

i gave it to them on new years and they were all like crying!! i love making those girls cry lol

wait till we go bm dress shopping!!!

the guys in my wedding party weren't so sentimental.

i think FH grumbled to his brother demanding that he be the best man. FH's brother grumbled back, do i have to? FH grunted yes, that he had to. and that was it.

Unfortunately I had to ask my best friend and MOH over the phone, she was in Hawaii. Many of my girls I asked over coffee, I hit them out of the blue with the question and they were so excited. One of my girls is in Texas and we both love the Renaissance. Fair so I made a medieval looking jewelry box with a scroll in old English asking her to be a BM and a pouch of Potpourri. I even used wax with our initial to seal it. She was so surprised when she opened it.

I asked everyone in person but they knew they were going to be in it...2 MOH 4 BM 2 FG 1 RB..having my best friends and cute little kids in adorable outfits share our day...priceless

We asked our bridal party at our engagement party... We bought the girls 'Angel Cheeks' statues (the bridesmaid ones) and the boys 'groomsman' keychains. We wrote a little note on the bag and gave them to them at the party. Everyone liked them and thought it was a cute idea!

We're actually asking the MOH and BM tonight. We invited them over to our place for dinner and I made them both cards with cute poems inside. I'll post a pic of the cards on Monday when I can scan it in. The MOH card has her name and a dress I made with tulle and ribbon. The BM card has three black buttons and a bow tie that I made with ribbon.

Yeah!!!! I ordered cards for my bridal from http://store.shopbyinvitationsonly.com/whatsnew.html they are great, I know i should of made them myself because I'm the crafty type, but I have so much going on! I cant wait to get them this week, I'll let you know how they are!! I'm just happy i decided on a way to do this thats special, most of them know they are in the bridal party but I wanted to confirm it...YA KNOW!?!? Now i just have to work on what i want to say inside the card. OMG im so not good with that! Any ideas? THANK YOU LADIES FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP!

This was very tricky for me, for my MOH's my mom I wrote her this really special poem that was personal and at the end I asked her to be my MOH, I put it in a really nice frame, my other MOH is out of state florida i was gonna go there to ask but they had to evacuate twice due to hurricanes and now again possibly with Ivan so I went onto 1800 flowers and had a MOH bouquet made up and had a little poem attached to it, she called me so surprised- I didnt want to do it over the phone, my BM I spent the day with her and gave her a poem also she is my best friend and had it in a pretty pink frame since my colors are pink, My other BM who is my stepsister I made her a personalized will you be my bridesmaid card with a personal poem and for the flower girls one in florida I sent a corsage and the other 2 I gave personalized cards and the other FG and 2 jr bridesmaid I havent seen yet.
