Photo and Video help needed PLEASE
OK... I really need to get this settled....We looked at Jovan, I really liked them- Telmo was great but they were a bit over what we wanted to pay.
Creative Comp was the same--- too much. Franklin Square we knocked off the list.
We are going to visit the following based on what I have read on the boards.
Imagine
Verdi
Leli
Duet
Patken
Perceptions
My fiance is NOT going to be happy visiting all of these places. (I don't even want to) We are looking for a really good photographer- actaullly we want 2 at the wedding. As for video- I have seen so many cheesy videos with tons of ugly graphics.... not interested in that at all! I want a mix between candid and traditional- I love all of those romantic shots of the groom kissing the bride on the forehead and stuff like that.
Any ideas on how to knock this list down? We just bought a house and I really can't take the time to visit all of these places.... I am in desperate need of help b/c I really want to get this settled. This is prob. the worst part of the planning I have encountered thus far!
Thanks so much for your opinions......

IMO, Perceptions and Patken were overpriced. As for videos, every single video I saw was TOTALLY cheesey. We went with Timeless Treasurese for video. Complete opposite of cheesey. Hope that helped a little.

Definitely check out Duet. You and your FH shound exactly like we did before we ended up choosing our photographer and videographer. We were so ready to give up! It can really be overwhelming and was by far the most difficult of all the decisions we had to make. As soon as we went to Duet, we signed the contract on the spot. They even have an office in the city.

What is your photo/video budget? I am a Duet bride to be and we are really happy with what we saw. And he added on a lot of stuff to our package free of charge and took off the tax.

If those two were higher priced than you were looking for, I'd knock Verdi off the list as well.

I wouldn't think of who to knock of, but maybe who to see first. I think DUET is the best value. If you don't like the effects on the video they show you, you can eliminate them.Maybe split up the list w/ your FH.
I thought Patken was high also, but you can create your own package so something will fit into your budget.
