My August 7th Wedding Review!!!

The day went fabulously!!! Everything was beautiful and everyone is still talking about it.

Church and officiant: Holy Family Church and Father Kane were wonderful. A

Hair: My cousin did my hair at the last minute (another story) and I think she did a wonderful job. A

Makeup: Lisa Diaz from Bloomingdales at Roosevelt Field did and amazing job. She was on time and did as many trials as I wanted before I was happy with the results and she extended that courtesy to everyone in my bridal party. Everyone's makeup looked flawless the day of and it held up all night. A

Bridal Salon: Wedding Plaza in Baldwin. They started off fine and then the drama began. They ordered the wrong MOH dresses and then tried to say that I picked them out. They put a hole in my cousin's dress while they were altering it. They were never on time and always seemed very overwhelmed. I'm very glad I didn't get my wedding dress there. D

Bridal Salon: David's Bridal in Springfield NJ. I know that alot of people have had problems with Davids but I had a great experince. I got my dress and my flowergirl's from there and they were awesome. My dress was amazing and I felt like a princess. A

Florist: Silver Stems in Rockville Center. My flowers looked amazing. Donnie out did himself. He came up with alot of the ideas himself with my budget in mind. My centerpieces were beautiful and my BM bo-ks looked so pretty against their dresses.

Photographer: Jovon. I know there has been alot said about them but they were on time and very professional. I haven't seen our pictures yet so I don't know how they turned out but the amatuer pics look great so I am hoping for fabuolosity!

Videography: Wedding Reels. They were awesome and I didn't even know they were there for the first hour! Not intrusive at all and very nice. I can't wait to see the video. No grade yet

Transporation: Royalty Limos. EXcellent!! They were on time, the cars looked awesome and they got us to Brooklyn and then back to Roslyn on time on a SATURDAY in the afternoon. I was able to make it to the duck pond for pictures and I enjoyed my whole cocktail hour! A++++++

Music: DJ Chase. He is a friend of my cousin who works in the music business. My cousin told me not to worry that he was the best and he was. He had everyone dancing the ENTIRE night. I had people coming upt o me during the reception asking where did I find the DJ! A+++++

Tuxedos: Dante/ Zeller. My DH handled the tuxes and he appeared to be pleased with their service. There were no major glitches. B

Reception: The Roslyn Claremont. They were great! the food was awesome. The drinks were great. We had a martini bar and the martinis were delicious! We had our brunch there also and it was so nice and relaxing.My only problems with them were in regards to the accomadations. My sister booked a room with two double beds and they gave her a room with one and then tried to say that she didn't specify that when she booked the room which was a lie because I booked all the rooms for my family. The Sales manager will be getting a call from me on Monday.

Wedding coordinator: Nora from ZenBride. What a help she was and I am so glad I listened to all the brides who said it was money well spent to have a day of coordinator and it was. There were so many little things that I didn't think of that she did. She made sure that Alix and I saw the recpetion area before everyone was escorted in. It was so beautitul so se everything set up. She made sure that i ate and drank throughout the day. Literally standing in front of me with saltines and and seltzer water saying EAT! Thank God because I was ruuning around so much and people kept putting drinks in my hands and toasting. I would have been ill if it wasn't for her. A

Travel agent: Dawn from Cruise One. Awesome! I freaked out on Dawn more than a couple of times and she took it in stride and was such a sweetheart. Answered all my questions and changed whatever we needed her to. She was great. A

Celebrity Cruises: What a disappointment! We were expecting so much more than what we received. The service was awful. I am allergic to cigarrette smoke and so is DH. The people in the staterooms on both sides smoked like chimneys so we were basically kept inside our stateroom and my eyes were so irritated the whole time that I couldn't wear my contacts. Thank God I packed my glasses. Secondly, they seemed grossly understaffed. There were about 1000 kids on the ship and they terrorized everyone. We were on the 9th floor and they ran up and down our hallway as well as on the 10th floor all night. Everytime I would call and complain they would sy thet there were sending someone up but they probably won't be there by the time security gets there. The kids were throwing food in the dining room, doing cannnonballs at the pool and even hanging out in the casino. And to add insult to injury a Maitre D had the nerve to say that we should book another cruise next October when there would be less kids! We had alot more issues with them and if u want to know FM me because it is quite a list. Thankfully we had fun at all of the ports. We visited Nice, Cannes, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Mykonos, Santorini, Croatia, Barcelona and Venice. Europe was AMAZING and we can't wait to go back but not on CELEBRITY.

Congratulations - the Roslyn Claremont is so lovely! Sorry to hear about the HM, but this is just an excuse to take more great trips!

Congrats on a great wedding!

I think you and I are the only two people using WeddingReels. I know you haven't seen the finished product yet, but just knowing they were easy to work with at your wedding puts my mind to ease. I'm getting married in November, but if you get your video back before that, please share your experience!

Congrats on your wedding! Sadly, I have heard the same thing over and over again about Celebrity Cruises. I'm glad you did enjoy your honeymoon!

I think you and I are the only two people using WeddingReels. I know you haven't seen the finished product yet, but just knowing they were easy to work with at your wedding puts my mind to ease.
