question for those registered at macy's...

do you they tell you who purchased items?

My DH's cousin is getting married soon. They just had their e-party. While shopping for their e-party gifts, I also shopped for her shower gifts (since the two events are going to be so close together)

Anyway, I bought a 3-piece opener set (can opener, cork screw, and jar opener)

I also bought an 18 piece utensil set (whisks, wooden spoons, spatulas, etc.)

And, finally, I bought her a 10 piece stainless steel starter set (mixing bowl, colander, measuring cups, measuring spoons)

I was just browsing on her registry and saw that she's now added a bunch of different sets, but they still have the same stuff that I already bought for her

Wouldn't she know that those items were already purchased for her? I'm starting to freak out over here...I shop early on purpose because I hate sitting there at showers and seeing that someone else bought duplicates of the gifts that I bought...

I don't know how it works with Macy's but at other places, as soon as the item is bought, it should come off the registry. The customer has to let the cashier to to take off the registry list as being bought.

Yes - they tell you who bought stuff if you go to the registry counter and ask for a print out of your registry. I wanted to close out my registry b4 the wedding since I dont live on LI ( and there is no Macys in Indy) and they wouldnt let me, but they did print out the registry which said who bought what and how much they paid.

Yup, that's definitely taken care of. My receipt even shows the registry number...
