No more missing kitten mystery. TMI..as in its really sad!
I wish that I could say that we found our missing kitten and all is well but sorry I cant. We smelled something gosh awful and thought it was the sewer that was backing up....which it was doing.. But I told Dh that sewer smell is not the same. Sure enough when the guy from Roto rooter came downstairs..which is where the sewer backed up..not our APT thank goodness.....he said he could clean the sewer but thats not the reason for the smell....BUT he confirmed that it was from a larger dead animal of some sort. They have yet to loacate it and since there are no rodents or any other animals that could have gotten it..it appears that the kitten was locked in the basement and died somewhere downstairs. So the landlord will be searching today.

terrible...are they still there? I think you could press charges of animal cruelty against the visitors or the person that lives there they were visiting!

Its not really the landlords fault. The kids were her son's camp couselors who needed a place to stay. Thy would play with the kittens which we didnt mind, they were always gentle. But the same night they left is the same night hte kitten went missing. The landord even came by to check the basement but didnt see the kitten..I suspect she was hiding or just didnt do a thorough job. Anyways it kinda makes sense that its now we start to........uhhhhhhhhh smell something.
She is now pissed becuase it was USED condoms that caused the sewer to back up..so their innocent spiel is over. They are not allowed back next year..THANK GOODNESS..and hopefully we will have found a condo/co-op we like.

They were two stray kittens we were feeding. We took them to the vet and everything.
