Engagement Gifts

For how long after you got engaged did people buy you engagement gifts for?

And, did everyone one in your wedding party buy you an engagement gift?

I think it depends.
Are you having an engagement party? Not everyone sent a gift.

hi there..

People started getting us gifts right away--- we actually have a lot of stuff already.

Some of our wedding party has gotten us stuff- but not everyone..

we got engaged at christmas and received a few engagements gifts in january, then received the rest at our e-party in april.

everyone in the bp gave a gift.

Thanks! We are not having an engagement party...but in general we actually have gotten a good amount of stuff....with some gifts still coming in...
But I have always been generous with friends and have always given engagement gifts to my close friends....and am just finding it a little weird that I haven't gotten anything from certain people...including 2 BM's.
Oh well. (i know, i know...it's not about the gifts!

)

it is over a year later and we are still getting engagement gifts

we registered because everyone was asking us too....we got almost half our registry already...
FH best friend (best man) took us out to a very expensive dinner
4 out of 7 BM got us presents

can't wait till my shower

we did not have an engagement party... who ever wants to get you something will
