i dont like our favors anymore...i feel like they look cheap

does anyone have an idea for an additional inexpensive favor we could get? Our favors now are candles that i tied a bow on and typed up a little poem with our names...

Personally I think the candle is fine, but if you're really stuck on adding something else, why don't you look into frame placecard holders as something additional. You could also do a small box of chocolates to be passed out as your guests leave.

You can do a donation in addition to your candle favor. I also like the idea of chocolates. Have you considered a CD favor?

There is a Lindt outlet at Tanger--they often have plastic bags where you can fill it for $10. Last time I got I think over 200 truffles in there!

I am giving candles with ribbon. I figure most people don't LOVE the favors anyway, so I didn't want to invest a lot in them. What are the candles like? Mine are the wedding cake ones.

DON'T GO CRAZY ON FAVORS!!!! Yours sounds so sweet and perfect. And candles are universal. They don't sound cheap-they sound like what they should be, a memeto of your special day.

I couldn't have said this better! Do not go crazy on favors .. its the thought that counts and its a rememberance of your wedding day for your guests - its not the money you spend on them that makes them special!

I am sure your favors are perfect as-is .. they actually sound lovely. IMO, to add on more unnecessary expense is futile ... any extra money is better spent elsewhere.

I think the favor sounds great and you don't need to spend extra money, but you could look into some kind of inexpensive (even handmade) candle holder or base?

this is what the candle looks like, but i took off the bow and card thats on there and put on a bigger red bow and a nicer card and added our names to it.
what do you think?

I LOVE the idea of a donation, especially if the cause is important to you & FH. This is what I'm doing in lieu of a favor.

For 300 people - 40 bucks!
