What is 'bridging' time? Never heard it before...

Basically, that DH's start date w/ company will be the very day he started NOT rehire. It is one thing to give vaca time were he was at - but NOT to have to start over w/ open enrollment for retire plans, vesting, options, health care, etc. FM if you need more help
