kindergarten teachers PLEEEEEEASE help

hello
those of you who read my previous post know that it is most likely going to happen- Im gonna be a Kindergarten teacher. I cant even begin to explain how depressed this makes me. K teachers- what do you do with them all day?????? How does a typical day go in a K room? What do I need to buy in the teacher store (hmmm... do they sell valium there?)

Ok, well the valium may help, but I find coffee and lots of chocolate does me just fine. I am actually not in K now, but did it for four years (fourth now). Its soo much fun and that i a great age to teach.
I should look back for your previous post but...have you been in any other grades before?
How is your school as far as reading/writng and expectations for K kids?

I may be of no help at all but I teach preschool and have been for the past 5 years.

I kind of prepare them for what the will be starting to learn in K.

In my sons school kindergarten is like teaching first grade - they have to learn to read and write, they have art,music, gym - definetly not like when I was in Kindergarten!!!
