Night and day??????? sorry so long venting
Okay so went to the fox hollow and leonards last night to get my mother opinion. wellShe did not like leonards it brings back some memories of when her and my father were planning there wedding. Obviously they are divorced now.
Fox hollow was beautiful my mother fell in love with the winter garden room and then she agreed with me about the biar fox room we did not like it at all (we like high ceilings something more airy i guess. so guilio who is the best showed us a different way we could do things in different rooms that we never saw before and i loved it.
so i was excited when i got home and then i told my FH and he was like oh i guess you and your mom should decide where we have it then.
then he thought about it and said if we are going to have that room why dont we just have it in the day then???
so my question Night or day????
I am trying to listen to his requests. I just feel it is more of a party during the night???? am i wrong on this one????

Depends on what you are going for - I've been to weddings during the day, and just in my opinion they have a totally different atmosphere - its not as much of a party feeling.BTW - my FH did that to me too! It actually made my mom feel weird - and I got really mad at him for that because this is a really special time for moms and daughters. I solved it by taking his mom to some stuff too. That seemed to make him feel better about having my moms opinion.

Personally I like a night wedding - feels more like a party - all dressed up, dancing, drinking etc.I went to a few weddings @ Fox Hollow, and that room is awesome even it's pitch black outside!

I also agree that daytime weddings tend not to have as much of a party feel. I used to work at a wedding facility when I was in college so I saw lots and lots of weddings, both day and nighttime. So if it were me, I would go with the nightime wedding. One advantage of a daytime wedding in January is this: it would be light outside for taking pictures outside the church, etc. (Obviously it is cold in January, not sure how many outside pics you'll want to have, but if there is snow on the ground they would be pretty!)

We are having it in the winter garden room during the day. I had the same concerns, but we have a good DJ, and i threatended all my friends and told them they need to drink and party or i will kill them. Plus we didnt have enough $$$$ to have it at night. I like that room during the day. It will be a great wedding no matter what time you have it.

For friday and saturday weddings, evening is great. For sunday, the earlier the better. I say that because I went to a wedding in July that was really late and people left way early because they had to go to work the next morning.

I prefer night weddings...just a little more of a party atmsphere.the other prob I've run into with daytime weddings is when the weddings i over at 5:30 you're all like, 'Now what??? we're all dressed up with no where to go.' JMO

I prefer a night time wedding..I feel like more people dance and get into it..But, I know my FI's cousin is having a Sat. day wedding and all of the bridal party/younger guests are going out afterwards..which I thought was fun!!

Re: Night and day??????? sorry so long venting
We considered price (big difference) and minimums (lower for daytime weddings) and also our guests - if you have a lot of older guests, children or parents who have children to get home to, a daytime is probably better but if you have a younger crowd who likes to party, a night wedding would be better. We also were leaving on our HM at 6AM the next day so a daytime wedding worked out great for us.

Re: Night and day??????? sorry so long venting
we had a day wedding and it was just as much a party as any night wedding i've ever been to....and afterwards, we all went to a nearby hotel for the afterparty.....so the wedding celebration lasted from 12 noon to 12 midnight.i think it's about the atmosphere you create, not the time of the wedding. I agree with PaleBride..(my aren't you smart!) My friend just got married during the day and after we all went back to their house for a pool party. I got home at 3 am. (Half in the bag). Then it lasts more than 5 hours~. The bride had a wedding bikini....Welcome New Vendors
