Finally have some time to start planning...

Any suggestions for places to look at?

Got engaged in May and have been working like a mad woman---Fh and i have decided 2006 will be the right time for us---so this fall, my mom, sister and i, will embark on a journey, looking at spaces...

i just read a great review on Coindre Hall---is anyone out there planning on having their reception at The Nassau County Museum of Art?

I'm also going to look in the city and Westchester, just to see what the spaces are and the prices...The invite list is almost at 200, which is too big for me...YIKES!

We dont want the traditional fanfare--we want to do something kind of off-beat and cool--can anyone post some suggestions?

thanks!!

More like where haven't I looked Ok, I have been to look at...John Anthony's,Fox Hollow, Westbury Manor, Riviera of Massapequa, Jericho Terrace , Chateau La Mer, Sans Souci, The Woodlands, Terrace on the Park, Douglaston Manor, Leonard's of Great Neck (#2), and Crest Hollow Country Club.

I have been to affairs at...Chateau Briand, Swan Club and Watermill.

We are 99% sure we're booking Jericho Terrace. Leonard's was a close 2nd.

Congrats!

I'm not sure how weddings are at Coindre Hall, but I play volleyball there! The grounds are really nice!
