Lombardi's On The Sound - PJCC Brides, How are you dong your centerpieces?

I was considering break-away centerpieces but it was pointed out to me yesterday with a meeting with a florist that the tables at PJCC may be too small to have large centerpieces. What have some of you done at the new PJCC? Pics are appreciated . . .

Re: Lombardi's On The Sound - PJCC Brides, How are you dong your centerpieces?

I am getting married at the PJCC also and I noticed that the tables are small and will not have much room in the middle for centerpieces. I was thinking that I will have to get tall centerpieces that has a small and thin stand and then have all the flowers up high. I know those kinds of centerpieces can be very pricy but I dont think I have a choice. I am also afraid that there will not be enough room for the favors!! That was the one thing that I was alittle unsure about when I looked at the tables cause I definately noticed that they were small. What do you think?

Re: Lombardi's On The Sound - PJCC Brides, How are you dong your centerpieces?

One florist I met with pointed out that the color scheme in PJCC is very neutral and that a lot of color may offset this. I want a garden-themed wedding that is very rustic and simple and I don't see this tall stand idea fitting in well. Maybe something like this . . .

I am doing the tall centerpieces. The tables need as much room as you can. I personally wouldn't fill it up with flowers.
Also I think that room needs a color and I am using my flowers to add some color.

I am also having my reception there and have heard the same about the tables. I do not want tall centerpieces, so was advised to go with either long centerpieces that will go with the shape of the oval table, or a bowl centerpiece with rose petals and votive candles on both sides of the bowl, stretching the length of the table. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet.

I just decided that I'm doing an oval shaped, low centerpiece. Also, remember Lombardi's puts on their tables a bottle of red & white.

Re: Lombardi's On The Sound - PJCC Brides, How are you dong your centerpieces?

I had originally planned for low pieces but 2 weeks before the wedding went to look at it and felt the A) there was not enough room and B) with everything on the table that they would get lost (they really fill them up....don't there are some big menu frames on them too)

I switched to high centerpieces. They were on a very thin silver stand. They were hot pink roses and other flowers to give it a little more of a wildflower field. I was happy I did this. Laurie from LA BLOSSOM did an amazing job to still keep it in my budget and they really added dimension and color to the room. Everyone raved about them. I do not have a specific picture of them yet. THey might be in the background somewhere....chech the Brides Review for board for a link to my pics.
