Sad and I cant sleep

We jsut get a call from the Howard Beach FD from my granny's house saying that she called 911 saying there were people in her yard. They got and no one was around her house. They called my house and they said that they are concerned about her mental health and are taking her to Jamica Hospital. : *(

She has been alittle delerious latley...but is still so independent. She is very stubbern and does not want help. That is the hardest for my dad. I feel so bad.

My dad is away (this is his mom)....My mom and my dads brother went to the hospital...(my mom and dad are the main desicison makers in the family).

Im home alone and I cant sleep.....

Anyone have anything happy to talk about???????????????????????

My mom called at like 4am....and they were sending her home.

She is now at my unlces house and we are waiting for my dad to get home. Plain and simple she can not live alone. Its not going to be good when my dad tells her that she needs to move in with us.

At least she is home from the hosptial

She is 86. When I say 86 you girls must be thinking OMG HOW CAN SHE BE LIVING ALONE. but no one knows how independent she is. She takes the bus all over queens...its unreal what this women is so indepenedent.

She is going to be so depressed when she cant be anymore. Its just so sad

My Aunt lived alone until she died at 93, in the South Bronx on the Grand Concourse and you know what she wouldn't have it any other way. They did get home health care aids that came in to be with her, because towards the end she started to wander. Maybe you might want to look into that if she refuses. It can get expensive but depending on her income the county might pay for it.
