Come see pictures of our new wittle baby!!!!!!

On Saturday I drove down to Durham, NC to pick up Bama, our new little bundle of joy. He's a Boxer, and he'll be 11 weeks old on Thursday. He's our first dog ever and we just love him to death. He's awesome! He's the sweetest little guy; he loves to give kisses and be close to us. He'll either plop in our lap when we're sitting down, or he'll sit by our feet. He's soooo cute! This is like a dream come true for me. I've wanted a dog ever since I was a little girl, but my parents would never let me have one. So now I finally do and I'm so in love with him! It just kills me to be at work right now and he's all by himself at home in his crate

. My poor little sweetie - I miss him so much.

Anyway, here he is! (and his ears were cropped so that's why they're all taped up)

Thanks! How do you dog owners deal with leaving your babies all alone at home? I swear, the motherly instinct has totally kicked in with me; I hardly sleep at all at night because I have my mommy radar on, listening for him in case he cries and has to go potty. Leaving my baby at home all alone is so hard!!!! I almost feel sick because I'm so worried about him. He's totally fine I'm sure. He's probably napping or playing with his Kong. But I still miss him! I don't know how I'm going to get any work done today.....

The breeder had originally wanted to keep him to show him, and the rules state that Boxers have to have their ears cropped. But she just couldn't keep him because she just has too many dogs! His ears don't bother him at all; they're all healed but they need to stay taped for about 4 months until they stand. Boxers look so much better with the pointy ear!

I feel the same way as you do when I leave Chewie at home. I go home every day at lunch to let him go to the bathroom. I miss him alot when I am at work though. In the beginning it was harder to leave him. Do you leave him all day or go home to check on him?

DH goes home at lunchtime to let him out. And he IM'd me this morning to say that he was working from home, so that made me feel better
