If my wedding is Jan 9th - when should i put the rsvp by date?
I was thinking of mailing them out by November 7th - should I do Dec 10th or Dec 17th? What is the proper amount of time?

My hall told me that three weeks is customary but I have seen girls on this site do it anywhere from 3-6 weeks. I believe it mainly has to do with when your caterer requires your final head count.

I think December 10th is giving them plenty of time

Hey Attica!<---- also a Jan 9th gal here!!!
....I sent them the 3rd week of September & made the RSVP the Monday right before Thanksgiving. I know that is early, but this was the advice I got from my caterers, because of all the Holidays in between. It also gave me plenty of time to invite my b-list with out *most* of them knowing thhey were b-list (all I did was go to staples & print up a new set of RSVP cards with a new date).

I always think the earlier the better. Keep in mind you will have all of your last minute holiday stuff to do as well.I'm making my RSVP date two months before as I teach high school... anytime after May 5th gets crazy for me so my invites are going out early (holiday weekend date) with an early RSVP date (May 1st)
