Re: bought my bedspread and im pretty excited

Well my husband loves it too, but I'm the one who found it.
I originally wanted to put it on my bridal registry, but I knew no one was going to buy me a $500 bed spread. So he bought it for me for my B-day.
I was thinking some shade of a light gold to match the details in it or I could do the cream color in it, but would I think I'll do the gold tone.

I do not like the curtains though, do you? Is that the same dust ruffle we have in our bag or do we not even have that. I haven't opened it since I don't want to get it dirty.

Re: bought my bedspread and im pretty excited

I think red walls would be way too much.

Where did you find this picture? The only pic I saw of it was on Bed & Bath's website.

Re: bought my bedspread and im pretty excited

We are exactly in the same boat. I also wanted a red room but saw this and loved it.

I know I will definently like a light wood color for the furniture. I just don't like dark wood that much. Since my parents house every wood detail and furniture was dark. I got sick of it, I guess.

I fell in love with this wood floor color that I want to do throughout my house, it is called butterscotch. I wonder if I found furniture that color how it would look matching the floor?

I also always wanted a canapy bed but I don't think it will go with this bedspread. I do want the 4 poster bed tho.

Re: bought my bedspread and im pretty excited

yeah i think a four post bed would look so nice thats what i want also. i actually saw a canopy all rosewood in pierone that i liked but i was afraid i wouldnt find matching dressers. i am also not into dark wood especially wood paneling lol that was all over my house when i was growing up. i think that a bedroom set in a similar color to the floor is nice. it would be exactly the same so it will blend nicely without disapearing
