How much lower did you bid than the asking price?

How much lowere did you wind up getting it for. We are putting in an offer tomorrow and are just wondering how low we can actually go. The house had already been reduced 20K and need a lot of work...but has lots of potential.

Edited to add that its been on the market for a few months now.

We bid about $15,000.00 lower than asking and they accecpted out first offer!

I think we did $340,000, they were asking $380,000. They came back with $370,000. I came back with $360,000, the came back with $365,000. I said no, and they said ok, $360,000.

We bid about 10K lower....they said no and came back at 5K....which was the middle.

We did the same...but we ended up paying 5K less than asking. We were bidding against 3 other people.

$20,000, but we negotiated at $10,000 lower for the final number.

we bid 39K under their original asking price, but they had lowered the price twice already, so our offer was actually 19K under the current asking, and we made a deal at 14K under.

We probably bid about 60K under asking and settled at about 40K - as you can tell we felt our house was over priced and we also specified why we went under (needed new roof and windows in near future). The owner was anxious to sell and liked us. Supposedly they had a higher bid but went with us because they felt we would close quicker.
