Pet Peeves about buying THE DRESS

1. The second you walk in you get directed to the ivory / oyster dresses... even though you literally just got finished tanning (damn... am I THAT pale?)

2. You can't zip a dress that 6 sizes bigger than you are in regular clothes (maybe its just me)

Re: Pet Peeves about buying THE DRESS

My experiences were all pretty good. The worst thing was knowing that I wear a 10 in pants, and a 16 dress!

Re: Pet Peeves about buying THE DRESS

1. The saleslady talks about her wedding, her baby, her life, and her dress the whole time you are with her, not giving you that moment of quiet the moment after the dress is zipped up to focus on yourself (I have had this happen twice!)

2. They keep showing you dresses that they know you will fall in love with, but are way out of your already articulated price range.

3. The dress is so damn dirty you can't tell if it looks good because you are thinking "how the hell can they show anything this filthy to anyone!"

Re: Pet Peeves about buying THE DRESS

Hate how EVERY dress looks GORGEOUS on you...and how they say that to every girl, regardless of how bad she looks...I tried on gowns that honestly looked AWFUL and the sales lady gushed and gushed over how great I look.......so you can never take their word!

Re: Pet Peeves about buying THE DRESS

1. I hate the size thing. I wear a size 6 (the skirt I am wearing is actually a size 4 - that;s the only reason I bought the skirt) but the dress I ordered is a size 12!

2. The zipper is broken and it looks like the dress has been through the war!

Re: Pet Peeves about buying THE DRESS

I agree about the dirty dresses- how can you even tell what it will look like??

And the zipper thing.. I was literally cut out of a $3800 Melissa Sweet dress- of at all places- Bergdorff's.. the zipper got stuck and they couldn't get it off.. I had three women yanking it down- did not budge- so they took the scissors to it.

Re: Pet Peeves about buying THE DRESS

My pet peeve is when I explain the style dress I like on me - which is A line with a side wrap. Why does everyone bring me the princess bridal dresses that are not flattering to my figure but they JUST KNOW I WILL LOVE once I try on. It somehow runis the joy of tryin on the dresses I do like.

Re: Pet Peeves about buying THE DRESS

I can't stand when you insist you don't like something and THEY insist you prance around in it for 10 minutes just to 'be sure' or 'let you mom see' ugh !
I have to be honest, they were awesome @ BOTH Bridal Reflections locations. - totally honest about what looked good and what did not, not at all pushy, very professional and extremely accomodating. - if she showed it to me and i said 'no way' it went back in the closet she took it from, no questions asked
