How soon do I have to ORDER my wedding dress?

I am getting married on October 1, 2005, need to lose ALOT of weight, how long does it take to get a dress in after ordering??

It seems to vary from designer to designer- some girls came in 8 months, some in 6, mine will take 4.

I was supposed to order by November but I have to order tomorrow since it is being discontinued this month. Keep an eye out for that.

I ordered mine from NetBride a week and a half ago, and i'll get it by January 3rd.

if you know what dress you want i would order it as soon as possible because you have to leave up to 6 months for it to come in.

the dress that I am interested in is made in Spain so they told me to order it within next month

I think 9 months before hand is a good amount of time... I ordered mine a year ahead mainly because i'm in VA most of the time, and if i waited i might not have ordered it till december... and i didn't want to cut it that close :)

Wow! Me too! Discontinuing in October? Are you ordering a Maggie? Or someone different????
