The 'official' LIW GTG Thread -- October 15, 2004, Sutton Place, NYC

I will bump this up from time to time for the regulars, but here's the deal.

The GTG will take place on Friday, Oct. 15th. You can start showing up at 7. Everyone is invited. The event will be held in NYC at the Sutton Place. Directions to be provided.

Please RSVP ASAP to this thread if you can make it. If we can get enough people, DJ Pill may be able to hook us up with a room or a table. if we got the room, we'd each have to put money down which is fine by me.

As best as possible, if you RSVP that you're coming, please mark it down and try not to change plans on us at the last minute. The last time, we started with 20 people and ended up with 4. I realize that stuff comes up, but if you committ to this, please do your best to attend.

I would definitely like to go and it's not too far from my office. There's a chance I might have to stay late at work, but I could probably step out for a drink and then head back to the office. If I can't go, I promise to let you know ahead of time.

Sidenote: This is the life of a real lawyer and it's nothing like Ally McBeal--THEY never had to come back to the office after going to the Vonda Shepard bar. Okay, sorry, vent over

7PM is a great time to park on the streets because thats when a lot of the streets end their 'No Standing' rule. Usually plenty of parking available at that time.

Just make sure if you park on the street... don't get there before 7pm. The traffic cops will have no problem ticketing you if you park at 6:55pm in a 7pm zone.

Or if you are anal like me... there is a parking garage on 54st right off 2nd ave (between 2nd & 3rd ave). There are also plenty of other parking garages. Expect to pay about $20 buks for this though.
