Making menus

Ok...so I found pretty, flowered scrap book paper for underneath the vellum, but its not as heavy as cardstock. Should I glue the scrapbook paper to cardstock?

Or is there a such thing as patterned cardstock???

Please help me,,, Im surrounded by menus and want to pull my hair out

Re: Making menus

Did you already print your menues onto the scrap book paper?

How are you planning to attach it to the velum?

I think that gluing the scrapbook paper to harder card stock could be time consuming and messy and it's possible that you could get glue bubbles.

If you have already printed the menues or just really love this paper, the only thing I think that you could do is a 3 level menue card. Get a very plain, heavier card (same size) that will go last under the floral one. You could attach the 3 papers using a hole punch (punch 2 holes on the top) and ribbon (weave it through to hold it together).

I am not making my menue cards. I am letting the hall use the ones they provide. But I feel your pain with the DIY projects. I love my tear packs, but I went through a few drafts (and some extra money ) before I got what I wanted.

Re: Making menus

yes they have patterned vellum at Michaels, go there and look at their paper supplies and they also sell ribbon to attach the vellum to cardstock and I think that looks better than glue.

Re: Making menus

Im printing the menu on the vellum, the pattern of the flowers is underneath the vellum. I cant find cardstock that has nice patterns to it. I really like the paper I found, only its not that heavy.
