1st florist appt - what should I expect?
Next saturday I have my first florist appointment. I'll bring swatches of the BM colors, but is there anything else I have to bring when I go there? What should I expect?

Re: 1st florist appt - what should I expect?
I was a bit surprised at the prices. It was more expensive than I realized.
We went to a few florists and each asked us the details of the wedding when, where, colors...
How many in the bridal party for boutineers and bouquets,
how many fathers/step fathers/grandfathers need boutineers,
how many mothers/step mothers/Grandmothers need corsages.
What flowers are needed for ceremony.
How many centerpieces and what additional flowers for reception, like bathrooms, card tables, cake, passing trays, throw away bouquet...
If there is anything you like I highly suggest bringing photos. They will also have photos to show you.
They'll of course ask you what your budget is. Try to give a low number to start.
Good Luck!

Re: 1st florist appt - what should I expect?
They will probably expect you to have an idea of what you want. They will want to know the formality of your wedding, what your dress looks like, the colors or themes you will be working with and how many people will need flowers. By talking to you for a little while they should get to know your style and come up with some suggestions for flowers. If you don't like something, speak up. I went to three florist appointments and ended up with the person who I thought best understood my vision of the wedding. I hope this helps!
