Here's a story from my first fitting....long sorry

I don't usually post personal stories on here, but I just need to vent all this!!

OK, so yesterday I go to my first fitting for my dress. 5 out of 6 of my girls were there, my mom and my grandma. so needless to say, it was a tad chaotic. a few of my girls were trying on their dresses as well. I put my dress on, it fits great, looks beautiful, everyone loves it---then someone asked me if I was going to wear a necklace with it and i said 'no I don't think so' and I TOOK IT OFF (Major part of the story...lol) my mom strung it on her pocket book so we wouldn't forget it, and then the whole fiasco with my dress began. quick background--got my dress from macy's but they (macys) matched the price i found on the internet and the deal was that they wouldn't be responsible for the storage or alterations of it--ok fine, i know a professional seamtress i was going to bring it to. then it turns out that she is going to italy for a month before my wedding and i wasn't comfortable with that, so i decided to bring it to the shop where I got my girl's dresses from. ok fast forward to yesterday @ the fitting

my dress has a lot to it in terms of beading and embroidery on the top and sleeves and as the lady was deciding how to alter it she was practically destroying my dress in the process. she was extremely uncertain and uncomfortable with doing it sooooo......I was getting upset and my 2 SIL's and mom were like BRING IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. so to make a long story short, I left with the dress but we were all so frazzled and upset that they couldn't alter it I FORGOT ABOUT MY DIAMOND CROSS NECKLACE that I took off. I didn't realize it was missing until about an hour later. i call my mom in a panic and she doesn't have it--she goes back to the bridal store, king kullen where she went afterwards and no one found it. we look all over the place and then last night we bring my dress to the original seamtress (because she altered my mom's dress) so she was kind enough to look @ my dress and said the store was nuts for wanting to do what they said to do to my dress. so she is going to do for me. so that solved that problem, but now my cross is still missing.

so the night passes and this morning my mom calls me on her way to work to tell me that someone left her two voicemails saying they found the cross. she was all excited, i call the bridal place when they opened @ 11 and they say 'no one here found it, what are you talking about? I'm sorry' i call my mom back crying because I was resolved that it was lost, then it was found and now it's lost again i was so upset. so we make all these phone calls and still no answer to our mystery and my mom deleted her voice mails so she couldn't retrieve where or who and when it was left on her phone. then this afternoon she gets another call from king kullen saying someone returned the cross you lost---we fly down there and IT WAS MY CROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when my mom went to look there yesterday (King Kullen) she bumped into the lady from my bridal store in the parking lot and she told her what happened and how distraught we were. we are thinking that she took it from the store and felt guilty and then returned it to king kullen--out of fear or embarrassment. I don't care as long as I have it back!! So it had a happy ending and the best part out of this whole thing was my FH's reaction. He didn't even get upset. he's like that anyway--but he gave me this cross for Christmas and had it made just for me to match my earrings and my engagement ring! he was so sweet about it my mom felt sooo badly, she was crying in his arms lol and he was like 'yummy, what's for dinner!' LOL He's sooo cute, i think i'll keep him!! LOL

ANYWAY that is my story and thought i'd share. I am so emotionally drained! LOL I'll post the one pic I got of my fitting before it all went down!! LOL THANKS FOR LISTENING!!
