sooo MAD-sorry so long

I am so angry that I need to vent! FH gave me a platinum engagment ring purchased from the mall. I got the ring in december, its September and my ring looks like its been through the mill. I brought ring to my fbil jewler and he said the ring was made with horrible craftsmanship. Where their should be channels holding the diamonds in, there arent. The platinum is nicked all along the sides. The jewler told me that my ring looks about 30 years old. He also said there was no way I could have done what this ring looks like. The only way I could get these kind of results is if i took a hammer to it. He told me to go back to mall and have it replaced. The B#$ch at the mall looked at fh while i was standing there and hand the nerve to talk to him about me! She told him I must be hard on my ring! and i probably bang into it. I said lady i sit at a desk if I was hitting my ring into anything Id of broken my hand. My diamond sits high above the setting and there isnt anything wrong with the diamond. I said how is it that if im so hard on my ring their are dents on the right side of the ring as well as the left side. How can I bang that side??? There really is no possible way. I bought a 2.00 ring that sat at the same height as mine and tried to do it and there is no way She says to me that she is GIA or whatever it is approved. So i said Yeah so can I , all you have to do is take a test that doesnt make you a jewler! All that means is that you know whats a diamond and whats not. I brought to another jewler to get a second opinion and he said the same as the first guy. Now I want to take her to court but she wont give me her tax id number which by law must be displayed in the store for customers to see, (which it is not!) Im sorry this is so long and jumbled but I am soooo angry, Also this has been going on for the last 4 months and I havent gotten anywhere with this nasty B@!ch. I cant stand her, I tried to report to her bbb but she isnt listed.

I am so sorry. There must be something you can do. Did you speak to a manager or go to the same jewlery store in a different mall(if there is one)? Good Luck

Its not in any other mall. I looked to see about that also. I spoke to the manager there and when she was being very rude and defensive before I lost my cool. I asked for the owners name and she told me it was none of my business. I was told next time I go in and she wont give me any info call Security and the cops. I was told that by law she must give me her tax id number can i cannot file suit without it. Its just upsetting because he spent a lot and this isnt any ring here. It has meaning to me and to her it was whatever. I said if this is the way you do business dont plan on being in it for the long run.

Was it purchased on a credit card -- if so, there are protections in place. Particularly AMEX.
