ThongLori gets married! Review and links to photos of the wedding in Italy!
The Thongs have united at last!!!!!!! With 12 family members and friends in tow, we were married in Florence, Italy on the morning of September 16 in Palazzo Vecchio, which is the town hall. The ceremony took place in a room called the Sala Rossa -- a beautiful, red, tapestry-filled room. The officiant was the Vice-Mayor of Florence and the entire ceremony was in Italian, but our wedding planner translated for us  It was intimate, unique, and everything we could have hoped for!
After the ceremony, we walked around Piazza della Signoria with the photographer. There were tons of tourists photographing us and shouting "buona fortuna!" and "bellissima!" as we walked by. It was so much fun!!! I told DH I felt like Madonna LOL
We had a reception lunch at Villa La Massa, one of Florence's premier hotels. It is about a 15 minute drive outside the city. Beautiful view of the Arno River and the Tuscan countryside. The food was AMAZING, and the service was great!! I think one of the waiters took a liking to my grandma LOL

For our honeymoon we went to Ravello, Positano/Amalfi Coast, and Venice. Everything was perfetto!!! I'll post honeymoon pics when we edit them all, there are so many!! Thanks to all the LIW ladies for your help along the way during this crazy planning process. Our NY reception is this Saturday afternoon... we keep joking, "it's like the wedding that never ends." LOL!!
