I'm cranky today so what the heck ... Pet Peeves anyone?

TRAFFIC!!! I could have popped a vein last night trapped on Merrick Avenue for 20 mins.

I also can't stand when people call me sweetie, hon or worst of all KIDDO!!

My boss calls me Kiddo!!! I can't stand it either!! I want to be like 'I have a NAME, and its Maureen..'

Mine would be...lines at the supermarker. I used to be really patient but somehow lost it. I just can't stand when someone gets to the counter then rifles through tons of coupons while everyone is waiting. Have em ready or get lost!

When people talk about other people behind their backs - this goes on in my office all the time!!!!! And I work with a bunch of Police Officers!! Caddy, caddy, caddy!!!
It drives me mad - Say it to there face!!!!!!!

I have too many pet peeves to list! But my favorites are:
-Loud popcorn eaters at the movie theater
-Gum snappers
-People that blow their nose when you're trying to eat or snort their phlegm. Gross!!!!!

-people that eat on the train or bus

-men that spread their legs so you dont have room to sit on the bus or train

-people that swing their arms while carrying an umbrella so long it could possibly kill someone

When walking on the street and someone in front of me is smoking..they exhale and all the smoke goes in my face.

People that are at a register in a store and are on their cell phone...That drives me nuts.

People that put their phone on speaker in the office so everyone around them can hear. I have a woman that works with me that does that. It drives me nuts.

People that heat up stinkyfood...Fish, Curry etc...In the microwave at work...So everyone can choke on it.

People that don't knock on your cube and just stand behind you until you notice them....

Sorry bout all the work stuff...but most of my pet peeves are from here...Since im here most of the time.

I think I posted this one before, but...

When you go to the bathroom, and only after you have...er...finished, do you realize that there's no TP!!!!!

People who make two loops and then tie them together instead of tying their shoes the right way (I used to work in a sports store and spent the better part of my teenage years selling sneakers)

Umbrellas...just in general...the way they turn inside out in the wind, the way people who carry them on the street shake them out on other people or tip them so that all the water that had gathered on top falls on you and OF COURSE, those dangerous points!!!!

People who don't wait for you to get out of the elevator before they get in.

And, I just wanted to say that my boss used to call me Peaches or Far - rah, with the accent on the Rah He was so fun!!

I hate when I introduce myself to someone

'Hi ... my name is Jennifer...'

and they respond

'Hi Jenny nice to meet you.'

My name is not Jenny!!!! (not that I don't like the name - but it's not my name) I JUST told you it Jennifer...

This happens at work functions all the time - very unprofessional if you ask me...plus, I don't know you well enough for you to be using a nickname on me.

'Hi Sarah, nice to meet you'

'No, um, it's Farah, with an F as in Frank'

'Oh, Saraf? That's unusual'

'No the F is at the beginning, Farah'

Imagine this goes on a few more times before I turn to the last resort:

'No, it's Farah, like in Farrah Fawcett'...

I like the name Farah - its very pretty.

and I like the name Jenny too - I am just soo not a jenny...only like 2 people can get away with calling me that.

I also hate when someone in the car in front of me is smoking and the smell comes through my AC - blech!!
