Need Chateau La Mer & Velvet Studios Review
I just recently booked Chateau La Mer for my November 23, 2005 wedding. (Day before Thanksgiving - hence the username) There used to a post up a while back, but can't seem to find it now. If anyone has any comments on Chateau, please send them. Also, I'm looking into booking their house photographer, Velvet Studios. Their pictures were amazing, has anyone used them before?

I've been to two weddings at CLM - GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have nothing but fantastic things to say about that place. You'd be in good hands with them.

i just went to a tasting there and everything was amazing... i didnt book them yet, but so far they are the cheapest, give u the most food and for an italian family its perfect!!! plus i love the yacht arrival!!!

I got married there and everything was great. Nick is awesome. We planned our wedding in 8 weeks and CLM was so helpful. One of our guest liked it so much, they booked their wedding there for next August. I don't know anything about Velvet Studios. But I would give CLM an A+++++

I'm getting married there in February! Heard nothing but good things so far. Been to two food tastings and loved it! There is a CLM thread on the 05 board. Good Luck!
PS Let me recommend my photographer to you. Chuck, from Artisan Photo Group, started out working at CLM so he knows the place really well. Then he was with Artistic Images and now he has his own company.

I'm going to vist CLM this weekend. I haven't heard that much about them, but the website makes the place looks so gorgeous. I heard that they recently renovated as well. I'll check out those 2005 postings too. Thanks all.

Thank you all so much for your input! I appreciate it! The place is just as beautiful as it looks on their site! In fact, I never thought it would even be in my budget until I sat down with them and they gave me the price of $50/head. This is because it's the day before Thanksgiving. Still, I was completely thrown back at the price and what it includes. Top shelf open bar for 5 hours, a lavish cocktail hour, white glove service, mini vianese hour, yacht arrival, etc. I couldn't leave it there for that price! I've heard mixed reviews about hte place, but mostly good. If any of you have any more comments, I'd love to hear from you!

I haven't done my review yet - but CLM is fantastic!!! Nick is the Best and made my wedding day wonderful!! I was sooo happy that I got married there and all our guests were raving about the food, the views, the whole thing!!
