Attention Teachers: Tutoring?
I was thinking about advertising tutoring, but I don't know what to charge. I am certified in El. Ed and Special ED. I have experince in both el. ed and 7th grade. Anybody have an idea of the going rate? (per hour). Thanks
Danielle

Re: Tutoring?
I am a music teacher who tutors reading comprehension, writing and grammar skills and math, and am not qualified to do so. Meaning I have no certification in those areas. So I only charge 40 an hour. But I know teachers who are certified that charge 75 an hour. It also depends on how many times a week you tutor them. Like, if I see them twice a week, I charge 30, once a week, I charge 40.

Re: Attention Teachers: Tutoring?
i tutor several kids from my school and they are a working middle class so I charge $45 an hour... If I ever did pick up more kids to tutor, I would raise it though. I have a Master's in Reading and could charge a lot more but I feel bad.. Go figure...

Re: Attention Teachers: Tutoring?
I teach for Kaplan. It costs $110 an hour, and usually 2 hours per session. I personally get a lot less than that. I'd probably charge between $40 and $75 and hour, higher end because you're certified.Welcome New Vendors
