My 9/18 Manor East Review and Proofs- Updated with More Pics

I am back!!!! I can not believe that it is finally my turn to right my review. Even though it rained in the morning and we had a few mishaps in the morning everything went well and everyone had a fabulous time.

Valentina Bridal – 9
The reason why I only gave them a 9 and not a 10 was because the day of the wedding when the girls went to put on their dresses, either they were a little to big, a little to long and their straps kept falling down. The customer service was wonderful and the dresses were beautiful but I wish that I would have had each girl try on their dresses when they went to pick them up the Wednesday before the wedding.

Feldman-Esquire Tuxedo (Lynbrook) 10
Michael was so wonderful to work with. I did not know until after church that the morning of the wedding my DH’s shirt was too big for him so the BM drove him there and they gave him a new shirt. Other than that everything was great.

New Corner’s Restaurant – 10
We had our RD on Thursday before the wedding at New Corner’s and everything was wonderful. We had our own private room which was great. Everyone loved the food (DH’s family had never been there). It was a great time to just talk and relax before the wedding.

St. Dominic’s RCC – 10
This is my parish and I did not want to get married any place else. I asked my former pastor (who now is the Bishop’s assistant) to come back to marry us. He did but he almost did not make it there that day but like he said with the help of God he made it there. Everyone loved him because he was so funny and tried to make sure that no one cried.

My hair was done by my mom’s friend – 10
She did such a wonderful job that even though I got caught in the downpour when I was finished my hair held up and no one even knew unless I told them.

Denise from Angel Eyes – 10+++++
For those that know Denise, know that there are no words that can describe was kind of wonderful person she is. After I got my hair done and went home, she was already at my house waiting for me. Since my hair, veil and clothes were all went she helped me dry my hair and veil and waited for me to get unchanged into dryer clothes. She did my mom and sister’s makeup too and they loved it. The biggest surprise from her was during cocktail hour when she came over to me to say hello. She came to the Manor East to touch up my makeup before I made my grand entrance. No could believe that she actually came to the Manor East to touch up my makeup. She is so wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flowers By Emil – 10+
Carmine did a fabulous job on my flowers. Everyone was amazed on the color and types of flowers. As of today, my mom has her corsage and I have my boo-k still in our fridges still living.

Marcy Studio – 10++
Our photographer was Chuck (the owner) from Marcy Studio. Chuck was wonderful. He got to my house early because he thought that he was going to have to wait for me but you all know how anal I am so I was actually dressed and waiting for him. As you will see from my proofs he did a beautiful job. Since we got our limos through him, he had a limo come and pick us up on Monday to bring us to the airport instead of a town car.

Limos – 10+++
We got our limos through Marcy Studio who deals with Royalty Limos. They were so wonderful. The morning of the wedding, the Belt Parkway was closed because of a fatal accident so they had to get off and take the streets but were in contact with each other so that I knew when DH, GM and his family arrived at church. Also, while we were in church it poured. The drivers all wiped down the stairs for me and everyone else. I thought that was wonderful. They were just such amazing people.

Bellarino – 10+++
We had Bellarino for videography. Phil and Kate are such wonderful people. They were filming everything (and at my wedding that was a lot since we had a lot of people dancing and entertainment). They were never in any ones way nor did the light ever bother me, Michael or our guests.

Let Us Entertain You – 10++++
Bill and Frank were wonderful. Our dance floor was never empty. They played all the songs that I asked for (they tried since my surprise from my Dad took up about a ½ hour or so). Everyone commented on how wonderful the music was and how at one point almost everyone at the wedding was on the dance floor.

My surprise from my Dad was a Cher impersonator – 10+++
She was wonderful. I did not know about her and when my dad made a speech and introduced her I almost fell on the floor. She got my dad and uncle to dress like her shoop girls to dance backup for her and she got my other uncle to sing I Got You Baby with her. Everyone loved her. It was definitely something different.

Last but not least the Manor East – 10+++
Michael was our matre d’. He was wonderful. Every time we needed something he brought it to us. The waiters, bartenders, etc. were all wonderful. I heard cocktail hour was amazing. I don’t know because even though we went we did not eat at it but we did eat our meal which was delicious.

Our guests are still talking about our wedding 2 weeks later. I hope I did not forget anything. Here are some proofs and the links to the rest of them.

ETD: Honeymoon Review of Aruba

Aruba was absolutely AMAZING! I want to go back. We have already decided that we are going back next year.
We stayed at the Hyatt. The pool was so beautiful with the swim up bar and the 2 foot slide.

We ate at:
Flying Fishbone: If you ever go to Aruba you have to eat there. Our seat was right in the water. We ate and watched the sunset. It was beautiful.

El Gaucho: We both love steak and DH said it was the best steak he has ever had. It was great

Sunset Grill (Radisson): It was a beautiful restaurant with great food and a wonderful view.

Cafe Picolo (Hyatt): It was a great place with wonderful and service

Runias Del Mar (Hyatt): My favorite place. We ate outside next to the swans. It was very romantic.

Aqua Grill: It was a fabalous restaurant with wonderful food and service.

We did the sunset cruise from the Hyatt which was great. They made DM drive the boat for a little while. We also had a couple's massage which was out of this world and well deserved.

We did the ATV tour which we thought was OK but since we rented our own jeep for the week, we took the jeep out and did our own sight seeing which was wonderful.

Congratulations Lisa!!! You looked beautiful! I'm sorry to hear about Valentina's but unfortunately I'm not surprised. The quality of their alterations has really gone down in the last 4 years.

Rebecca, my alternatiosn were great. I was just a little disappointed in my sister's alternations. Her skirt was so big that her heal got caught in her hem and she fell down our stairs.
