What is your prediction for the VP debates? Are you concerned that some area will not be covered? Do you think that having so many rules to protect George Bush (short times, etc) actually hurts him?

Interesting, LP. I actually do not agree, and am concerned that many issues of substance have completely been untouched by the current debate structure.

George Bush will win the Presidential election because John Kerry is not a strong candidate. So, that's all I think about the debates.

my basic ideas...
-both candidates will make promises they can't keep.
- john edwards is a cutie

in no way does this thread reflect my political party/ beliefs. i dont like to talk politics though. thats just drama waiting to happen.

and i missed the 1st round of debates b/c i had pre-cana.

In my VERY limited opinion - i think Bush
why, i think he should finish what has been
started (Iraq) & i dont think Kerry has enough 'presence'

You & my FH would have a ball with politics i see

Kerry seems to want to be President just for the heck of it. He has no passion about any issue.

I think the demon that lives in Cheney will come out screaming and bite off the head of poor innocent Edwards. It will be sad, but hopefully, will reveal his true identity as an evil alien.

Sorry, I can't even look at Cheney - he frightens me greatly.

Respectfully, I don't agree. I think it is sad that so much passion and devotion to service is lost because someone is not telegenic. I think some of our best presidents would never have been elected by this standard. Lincoln was known to be a soft spoken, shy man, who hated speaking in public. I wonder how he would have held up for a debate.

It's not about being telelgenic, its about feeling. I don't want to vote for someone who really has no idea true feelings about it. Why vote for someone who is on the fence about seemingly everything. Kerry is not decisive. He seems to hide behind what other people tell him. He appears weak. We cannot have someone who appears weak as the President. He needs to be strong and decisive, even if those decisions aren't very popular.

But anyway, that is why Kerry won't win. I know quite a few liberal dems who don't want to vote for him becahse he doesn't seem to know where he stands on important issues. OR, he just isn't liberal enough.

seriously! THe man looks posessed. This has nothing to do with my political beliefs - I am a very big 'energy' person and his is FRIGHTENING! Nothing positive, nothing with light, nothing good emanates (sp?) from his face! Have you noticed this??

MY TWO CENTS....


I do think the debate format favor's Bush.

I am scared for Edwards.. Cheney is scary..
But something tells me Edwards will do better than expected.

I don't agree that Bush should be left to finish what he started, Iraq is a total MESS! It has the potential to be much worse, We need someone who will not be afraid to walk away some what and give more control to the United Nations.

I do not support the war in Iraq at all. I truly believe our reasons for being there are nonsense, and while Saddam needed to go, who said it was our job to show him the door?
While many people in this country still want vengence for 9/11, there is no evidence Iraq or it's people had a hand in it, why don't we go after the real enemies? Maybe what we really need is less political bull crap.. and more common sense.. sad to say but I don't see either Kerry or Bush being able to do that..

While I am not sure Kerry/Edwards could really fix the plm, I'm not sure they could make it much worse.
