It was the end of July and it was outdoors, so I would've been DYING with stockings of any sort. Plus you would've seen the bumps of stockings or thigh highs in my dress.

I had thigh highs. Granted I got married in January, but I think I would have done this anyway b/c I hate the way the itchy stuff under the dress feels

I am getting thigh highs because I am wearing closed toe shoes. I know I am going to be sweating to death but I have no choice!
eta: Those with bare legs, just curious, was the crinoline itchy?

My shoes were closed toe, so, I chose thigh highs. If they were open toed, I definitely would have skipped the pantyhose all together!

I am curious about that too. Will the dress feel scratchy or stick to you underneath without thigh highs or pantyhose?

I can't answer unless I know what shoes you're wearing - open or closed toe? To me, that's the only question. Once you figure that out, the stocking issue will work itself out - yes with closed toe, no with open.

For the following reasons
I have thunder thighs from hell.. I HATE the way they feel bare and over a long period of time they get sweaty and it's just NASTY (my opinion)
Im wearing closed toe shoes.. I HATE HATE HATE sweaty or sticky shoes. Bare toes do that! ICK!
Dude, I bought a sexy garter thingy.. gotta have something to clip it to!!!

I'm going with Victoria Secrets open toe'd thigh highs and open toe'd shoes. I'll have them attached to the garter belt---I love the look---very sexy!! There are no pictures online....but you can find them in the store. VERY cool invention!!!!! You can wear open sandel, but still have your toesies sticking out!!!
