My fun wedding planning day with FH (long)

okay so here goes.. I did so much today with my sweet FH. He finally took an interest (well i forced him to ) and here is what we did..(dont know if anyone cares to read this much detail but I have taken a big break from planning to do something really fun but stressful...details follow in few weeks... and we had the best time planning today!!

1. Went to The Fabric Mill to look at patterns and fabric for flower girl dresses (mom is making them) We sort of picked the pattern I attached (the yellow one with out the poofy sleeves) using ivory bridal satin with a lace/chiffon overlay on the skirt that mimics my gown... more detail on the bottom that fades as it goes up and then becomes just scattered little flowers, and a ribbon that matched the Bm dresses.

2. Made a major dent in the save the dates. Last weekend we order the bussiness cards from vistaprints ( attached a pic of a sample of the magnet/card things) and today we got 55. x 7.5 cards to attach the magnets to and do some printing on. I attached a pictured of that too. We are using is kids in cowboy costumes with a girl sitting down with an umbrella and a boy on one knee bc fh is from Tennesee and he said with a very cute face 'please this is the only southern/country thing in the whole wedding'

3. Went to tri county and tried on veils... had so much fun and I attached a link to that album....

4. Couldn't find magnets at Michaels or joannes.. We only found packs of 10 card sized magnets 3.99 a piece.. I guess I envisioned a sheet with perforated bussiness card sizes that you break apart... I will look some more.

5. Went to fortunoffs to try on wedding bands just for fun... It was. Saw two we really like. Mine matched the band of my e-ring... really pretty.

6. Went to papryus in Roosevelt field mall.. I was really dissapointed here. There wasn't much selection. Did look at some invites though.

7. Went to DSW and saw a wedding setting up at Chateu Briand... the florist truck was outside and open as we drove by and I saw the centerpieces.... so sad I can't have a fall wedding bc I am a teacher.. but anyway they were ceramic pumpkins with leaf cutouts all over them ( i guess that candles go inside) with fall flowers and leaves encircling the bottom.... SO COOL!!!!! I really loved them.


so it was great fun... time to post the pics!!!!! Oh yeah FH and I kept calling it our 'wedding extravaganza day!!'

Congratulations on getting so much done especially with FH. I know that can be a challenge. My FH can't handle more than 1 wedding errand a day.

I really like the veil you had on it is so beautiful. I haven't had a chance but will definitley go there and check it out when I am ready. Good luck and keep up the good work

Go to staples, they sell business card magnets. they are made by magna card and there are about 50 in there.

no problem, they are really cool, you just peel off the back and stick it to the card.
