LIW GTG @ Sutton Place NYC - This Friday - Come Watch the Yankees Game!
Ok.... The LIW GTG is definitely on for this Friday the 15th at Sutton Place NYC. Here is the website to the bar where you can get the address/directions/etc.

Now... the Yanks are scheduled to play the Red Sox that day at 8:20pm (Game 3). They will be playing the sounds from the game on all the speakers (ie: no music). The bar may get a little crowded... it will be tough to tell how many people will show up so getting a table may be tricky. It can be standing room only as there may not be any tables left by the time everyone shows up.
But believe me... people that go to the bar get PUMPED for the game. They cheer... boo... etc. Its a lot of fun... and you will hear it from both sides too (Yanks fans as well as Sox fans).
The only disadvantage to this is... you won't get to hear my infamous music. Hehehehehe.  Well if you stay mad late you will... hahahaha.
But this will be a definite good time. I think people will start to show around 7pm. I'll probably be there around that time as well.
We will be meeting by the DJ booth on the 1st floor... we will attempt to get a table down there. This may change though... as I am going to ask if the Lounge is open. We could work our way in there if there will be a bartender on duty.
Here is the list that was posted earlier. Please add your name or take if off if you plan on going or not going.
Definitely looking forward to this... as this will be a kickarse time!

Maybe I'll just come until the game starts then, I really don't want to be among a rowdy crowd watching the yankee game. i'd rahter be able to talk to you guys and actually hear each other, and hear DJP spin!

Just so you know... ironically... when they have the game on the speakers... it isn't that loud and you would be able to hear each other easier (except for that occasional cheer).
When I am running the music... its louder than when they have the game on... I think partially due to them feeding the audio off the satellite as compared to my amplified music system.
But yeah anybody that wants to come from 7pm and leave once the game starts is welcome as well.

Although us Mets fans will be in the majority in our little group, I'm sure you will be in the majority in the bar as a whole. My DH was just very glad to hear that we were going to be with a bunch of Mets fans, since I'm dragging him along to a LIW GTG!

7 is correct, we'll be there on time hopefully depending on my job. It will be my first day back, but then again, it's Friday.
Wanna hear something funny.
We were talking in New Orleans and Boosh asked me how the Yankee games were scheduled and I said Game 3 was Friday night.
Then I stopped and said, "That means.......the GTG"
She said, oh, Felicia is in for it now.

I simply do not understand how it turned out that I am going to be in the MINORITY on Friday , and that I am spending my time with a bunch of Mets fans during a Yankees/Sox playoff game.
Less one Mets fan , that is ... DH isn't coming

Ok... ill probably show my head around 7pm or so. If the bar is very crowded and there aren't any tables available... just chill by bar by the DJ booth till I get there.
From there we will decide if we move up to the 2nd floor or the roof. If we move away from the DJ booth area (like upstairs)... i'll leave a sign on the DJ booth directing anybody that shows late what table we are at.
Worst case scenario... just ask any of the security where the DJ is at. They all know who I am. Just ask the security where DjPiLL is at. They know what to do.

Bah.. I am there all night. He should still stop by. There won't be any major traffic coming into the city at that time. And for the drive to Scarsdale he comes within 10 miles of the bar. Hardly the detour!
