PETS REPOST: 7th Annual Long Island Community Dog Walk and Canine Festival plus Dawg Games to benefit the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc.
Date: Sunday, October 17, 2004Flowerfield Fairgrounds
Route 25A, Saint James, NY
Rain or shine
Schedule of Events
9 am
Registration begins.
11 am
Dog Walk begins.
$25 per dog if you pre-register before October 1
$30 per dog if you register the day of the event, or after Oct 1
Sponsor Pledges will be accepted the day of the Walk. Those who bring in more than $25 in pledges will receive a free T-shirt. The two participants who bring in the largest amount of pledges will receive a special Grand Prize.
Noon – 3 pm
Canine Festival and Dawg Games
Admission to just the Canine Festival and Dawg Games (starting at Noon) is $10 per car, payable at the entrance gate. Dog Walk participants will enjoy the Festival at no extra charge. Enjoy special activities and contests. A midway of vendors will be located on the fairgrounds. Food service will be available.
Dawg Games
Dawg Games is open to all attendees and participants may register the day of the event. Donations suggested to participate.

$7 per dog for this event
This judged event is open to all AKC dogs in the category of Breed and Obedience. Please visit www.akc.org to find out more about fun matches.
The Local Championship for the Hyperflite Skyhoundz World Canine Disc Championship Series
1:00 pm
$10 per dog for this event
Formal Award Ceremony

Canine Good Citizenship Certificate
12 - 3 pm
Awarded under rules established by the American Kennel Club (AKC), it is open to all dogs whether purebred or mixed breed. Due to its popularity, pre-registration is required.
