Shoe related post (Land's End and Flowerfields specifically) Another thing to consider on your wedding day (cross post from BHB)
Ok...so my best friend is getting married at Flowerfields a month after me. So we were having lunch the other day and the topic of shoes came up! I told her I have my shoes and they are spiky heels blah, blah, blah....WELL she said that she can't get spiky heels because of the wood boards on the bridge and gazebo! She said the heel would totally get caught in-between the boards! I was in total shock! I never thought of that. SO I called Land's End today to ask the Banquet Manager about Land's End and she said there is a possibility it will get stuck in the gazebo but it would definitely get caught in the boards and I could possibly trip on the dock at the cocktail hour! Well I am floored! I thought I found THE shoes but more importantly who wants to go head first into a wooden floor board on your wedding day! I had to pass on this little FYI to all the brides out there getting married on wood! The more brides I can impart this little FYI the better...Who wants anyone taking an unneeded "trip" on their wedding day!

Also, as an FYI, with outdoor reception, mud is a reality. So too is sand with beach weddings!
