I had a car accident this morning!

I just got into a car accidentthis morning on my way to workon on 112. I am all
shaken up, can't even spell correctly. My airbags in car went off. This lady cut me off coming into the same lane I was coming into,
going much slower then regular traffic, I did everything to avoid hitting her. I ended up hitting my driver side corner into her passenger corner. The airbag powder gave me a nasty burn on my right thumb which really hurts too. Right now I am home just trying to relax and go over everything with
my insurance. What a sucky monday. Thanks for listening.

By the way, the other car got small scratch and bumper needs to be replaced. The driver was fine.

My poor car had most of the damage....2004 Malibu.....

I'm so sorry. Glad you are OK overall though. Rest up, take a tylenol, and try to relax a bit. Remember a car can be replaced, you can't!

What made me happy was how my car reacted in the situation. I am glad I bought my Malibu. The Air Bags are sensitive which is why they went off, but that also means safety for whoever is in the car.

I'm glad you're ok!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to the doctor. You seriously never know what you're gonna wake up with in 2 days. Just got, even for insurance purposes. I'm in a living hell from a car accident, so...I know...and I felt FINE at the time.

I know what you mean, but right now, I don't want to drive. Tomorrow I will have a rental from my insurance and will be able to go. I have been down this road before with another accident I was in. I hurt my back about 10 years ago, but at the time I was driving a Geo Prizm no Air Bags side impact.

Thank you for your concern. I am going to call the Dr. after I eat something. I will let you know how it goes.

I'm sorry about your accident, but I am glad that you are ok. It's natural to be shaken up after something like that. Try to relax and take things extra slow for the next day or two.

First of all, I am truly glad you are OK and weren't hurt

.. it is truly terrifying when something like that happens. I hope you can relax the rest of the day and that you insurance issues are resolved in a reasonable timeframe

I know you don't need to hear this right now, but as Marymoon suggested I would try to see a doctor before week's end. My husband and I were in an auto accident a few months ago, and I am CONVINCED that my recent diagnosis of pinched nerve/herniated disk is a result of that (even though i felt 100% fine at the time).

As mentioned above, the car is replacable, you aren't. I'm just glad to hear that you were able to walk away from this with too much damage to you. I'm glad you feel OK but I agree that you should go to a doc to get checked out.
