just got home from the Yankee game and...

I'm tired- mentally and physically. It was cold rainy. I dressed warm but that still didnt help. The Yankees were not hitting, then that whole fiaso in the 8th inning and then Tony Clark striking out...That game stunk.. Riot gear.. it was ridiculous!
Im finally going to bed.

I took a presonal day tomorrow... A mental health day!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I am disgusted and disgraced by the way the Yankee fans behaved last night. I am actually ashamed to be a fan today after the way the fans threw things on the field.

Fleicia, you'll be absolved from my wrath, you're married to a Met fan

The Yankee haters on these boards are entitled to say anything want tomorrow ... that is, 'IF' we lose tonight .

But that doesnt mean I'll be around here to listen to it

DH and I were saying last night that it's those people who give Yankee fans in general a bad name. Only at a Yankee game would there be police in riot gear! I don't think you'd ever see that at a Mets game.

I cannot wait for tonight's game!!!

Agreed! The way they reacted was absolutely ridiculous. Say what you want about the Boston fans but when Ortiz got screwed 2 times in Game 5 ('strikeout' when he barely moved the bat and called out stealing 2nd when Jeter never even touched him), they did not react like that! Disgusting

Re: just got home from the Yankee game and...

I ususally pride myself on how the 'rough' NY Yankee fans behave at these games. I can remember a couple of years ago when the Boston fans threw things onto the field. I can remember when John Rocker came to Shea and fans threw things at him. And I thought you never see things like that at Yankee Stadium. Well last night I was shocked.

Re: just got home from the Yankee game and...

it was only a select few people that threw things. it looked like more on tv... most of the 55,000+ fans just booed and yelled like we always do. Not saying they were righ tbut that wasnt the majority. most of us were too cold to even move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: just got home from the Yankee game and...

Just out of curiosity but what did they think they were going to prove by running on the field??? Were they going to talk to the umpire to try and reverse the call?

Re: just got home from the Yankee game and...

i missed that- i didnt see fans running onto the field. just a lot of garbage being thrown onto the field. the 'yankee' announcer had to get on the speaker and tell the crowd to please calm down..
