Made a big purchase today.....

I bought myself a Ford Explorer today. I've been wanting to buy something with four wheel drive and I took the plunge today. I'm a little nervous about buying a truck while I'm trying to save for the wedding, but with the accident I had in the snow last year with my mustang, I just didn't want to take anymore chances. So I pick it up on Wednesday. Wish me luck!

Thanks, ladies! I'm just happy that now I have some peace of mind for the winter. But wouldn't it be just my luck that we won't see even an inch of snow this year?

It's a dark blue. But I don't feel like really excited about it. When I bought my mustang, I was bubbling over with excitement. I guess it's partially because I felt like I HAD to buy it, and partially because I get really nervous about buying cars. I don't know why

Oh, and then there's JT, who keeps complaining that he still has his old car. I think I might slap him soon!

i love the dark blue ford has for there trucks its verry nice. lol tell jt to stop complaining doesnt he want you to be safe in the winter time

Good luck with the new ride.

My next car will probably be an all-wheel drive car which will handle just as well... if not better than a 4x4 truck. I am thinking either a Subaru Legacy... the AWD Chrysler 300 (comes out in January)... or the Dodge Magnum.

I probably won't buy a truck cause they suck on gas... but I am not going to rule anything out yet.

I did not sell the mustang yet. I wasn't sure what I wanted to buy. I broke down and bought an explorer after my dad went out and bought one. I got the lowest end model of the explorer because I just don't have the money with the wedding coming up in a few months and us looking for a place to buy. I figured that it's not so bad in terms of gas since my mustang SUCKS on gas. Plus, we'll be moving closer to where I work in a few months.
We just really needed somethign with 4wd. JT works for the news and can't take a day off for snow or anything like that, so we needed something that can get him there. So if he's nice, I'll let him drive it
