1 week to go and still no makeup artist booked..>HELP

I just went for my hair trial, I am doing it half up half down........very excited for it........

I still however have no makeup artist.. i went for a trial with a mary kay lady and it was nice but i dont think enough things were done for my eyes... I have been trying to contact one artist I was recommended but it has been phone tag for the last week........ I need makeup for me, and one bridemaid, and not too expensive, and i need a trial for myself........ any suggestions....

well I think she can do more then one wedding in a day, depending on what time the weddings are and how many people need to be done.

where are you located? I know if you have a trial done at one of the makeup counters at Macys, they also do freelancing and might be able to help out

I second the department store idea. I would do it myself if it wasnt for my wedding being a Sunday morning. You can go up to the Clinique counter, they have different looks you can choose.

FM DebsNY - her friend did her make up and I personally thought it came out great. Perhaps she could help you out - and since she isn't in the biz, she may be able to help

I would go into Nordstroms or Bloomies or one of those department stores and go to your favorite makeup counter-

Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Mac whatever and se who does freelance work.

They can probably do an on the spot trial for free. ( or they may make you buy 3 prducts that they can use on you day of.

Most of those salesgirls/guys prefer to do the freelance stuff on the side.

My makeup girl is amazing but she is in White Plains and requires @ least a bride + 3 others to be booked.

My makeup chic was Jeanine from christopher jon salon in sayville, she came to my house and charged 90 bucks to do my makeup and it came out SPECTACULAR!!!

you could try the william matt salon in carle place/westbury. they just did my friend's wedding day makeup and she looked beautiful.

If I were you at this point, I would definetely hit up the department store, more specifically I would go to Estee Lauder. There are always advertisements for estee lauder doing wedding make-up. I would go for a trial to see if you like it.
