Cooking a whole chicken

I want to cook a whole chicken tonight. Any suggestions and how long does this take?

Re: Cooking a whole chicken

DH has done the beer can thing on the grill and it came out so good.

I made one a few weeks ago, I mixed some parsley, rosemary, thyme, salt pepper in some butter and spread it all over and under the skin. I also put a few sprigs of thyme and rosemary and a lemon in the cavity of the chicken. Do all of this after you clean the inside of the chicken. I cooked it at 350 for 1 1/4 hours. Don't forget to baste the chicken.
