OMG - Look at hat my friend just said to me UPDATE

I have a really good friend, we're really really close and tell each other everything. There's been sexual tension between us, but we just laugh it off. So that's the history...this is what he just said to me online

Him: Your FH's a lucky guy
Me: I hope he realizes that
Him: he better
Him: ok, this is depressing me
Him: i have no one, and here i am trying to be positive about some guy who couldn't care less about what he has
Him: i don't want to talk about this
Me: I'm sorry
Him: sorry

How would you react to this? I thought it was pretty f--ked up. I know he doesn't think my FH always appreciates me, but he's usually constructive about it and nice, he's never said anything like this, and it just seems WAY out of line...I'm a little sad....

Update: I spoe wiht him alter and he was like 'i'm sorry I was so crabby to you before. I'm just frustrated, not with you, with life. I'm so sorry'. And I've been in a bad mood all day and now he's trying to cheer me up and it's just annoying. I don't know why it put me in such a bad mood.

That may be true...I just feel really sad that he said that. it's probably my fault for talking about FH nonstop. I tell him like every little detail

oh my goodness, I don't know how to answer.

It's such a tough sitaution when you are friends with the opposite sex, and someone's feeling are stronger than 'friendship' for the other.

All I would do off the bat is just stop getting into so much detail about your FH with your friend, its obviously bothersome for him. Though I do believe that this is going to be very awkward from hereon out, unfortunately

turn it around, what if it was DH getting emails like that about you from a girl...(I always have to do that myself, flip it to see how I would want DH to react)
