I also considered giving wine bottles as a favor, but agree that they are too bulky to put on the tables. What about using the wine bottle as an escort card. Put each couple's name on a card, attach it with ribbon to the bottle, and use that to tell them what table they're sitting at? This way, all the bottles are on one table but they know that it's only 1 per couple.

At my girlfriends wedding she had a wine holder as her centerpiece and decorated it with silk flowers and put the wine in it to display. It held five bottles...looked really nice.

I like that idea. But I do like the donation idea too. I'm thinking about doing that myself. I guess I'm not much help. sorry.

I think the wine rack CP is a great idea. It can help you keep flower costs down and I think it would look really elegant.

you can do both...for our favors, we had a budget ( a small one, mind you) and since we were under budget with making the cds, we put the rest of the budget towards a donation to make a wish...the donation wasn't announced, but it made me feel better that we did it.
