oh man! I thought they would replay it on Sat. too. I missed it as well! One of my students sort of gave me a recap.

I only saw the last half hour. Sayid was captured by the lady who had been on the island for 16 years. She was kind of crazy. She said that on the way back from the Black Rock 'they' killed 'them' all. Shes never seen 'them' but she hears them whispering in the jungle. Sayid gets free and the lady lets him go.Back at the camp, the large kid makes a golf course so everyone cen let off steam and have some fun. The people staying at the beach mingle with the people staying in the caves. Kate suggests to Sawyer that he try not to exclude himself, so he comes along too.
I dont know what happened the first half hour.

Basically Sayid went wandering around the island and he found a power cable leading from the ocean to the interior (or vice-versa!). So he followed it, and the French lady attacked him. Then she tortured him for awhile, then she let him go so he could fix a music box her dead husband had given her. Later we find out she killed her husband and everyone else on the island with her. She said they had some kind of disease, I guess that's why she killed them.Also, the flashbacks are of Sayid's life in the Iraqi army. He has to torture an old friend (that girl whose picture he carries) and eventually he's told to kill her. Instead he kills his commanding officer and lets the girl escape.
Meanwhile everyone else plays golf to blow off some steam.

The previews for next week: The pregnant girl thinks someone is trying to hurt her baby (they show her sleeping then someone putting there hand over her mouth) Nobody seems to believe her and Jack is worried if she keeps stressing she will go into preterm labor which it appears she does. Stay tuned....
