I am not joking.. TIME FLIES!!!

Everyone laughed at me, and told me I was crazy for waiting almost 2 years to get married. All I ever heard was. March 2005 OMG you have so much time.. Good thing I didn't listen to them, because I do not have so much time!!!

I'm going crazy, and I have 3 months left.. Thank god, I started planning when I did!!!


Just wanted to tell you that. I know how annoying it was to hear ' YOU HAVE SO MUCH TIME'.. YOU DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got engaged two and a half years ago and everyone said the same thing to me. It really did fly, it's 3 days away!!!

yeah thanks! I DO feel like i have so much time, and that the wedding will never actually arrive. I have less than a year at this point but I really wish it was this weekend...of course I'd have to go crazy finding gifts, limos, flowers and favors...but I really feel like it's more about the marriage than the 'wedding' so I would do it make-shift and be just fine. Unfortunately the family would probably disagree;) haha.

Anyway good luck with your final 3 month stretch - enjoy it!!!

Thanks for the tip. Everyone says that to me too and i'm like listen if you are paying for it then we can have it sooner. But trust me you can have such a nicer wedding if you wait 2 years. You have time to shop around for vendors and everything.

I told my mom the same thing i said if you want to pay for it i will get married right now.
the nerve of other people telling me ' why are you waiting so long?' i want to tell them to shove it!

We'll be engaged for 2 yrs and 3 months or so when we are finally married...IN 2007. ack.

Thanks for the advice, and I've already started dreaming There's something about a wedding a few days before V-day (and my b-day!) that screams 'deep red elegance!!!' so excited...

you are so right. I remember waiting on line at Macy's to buy something in 2002. I was talking to someone else about the wedding. This really nasty lady asked when it was. When I said that it was in May of 2004, her reply was, 'Oh, how ridiculous. Why even bother with an engagement that long?!'

Let me just say, I had heard comments like that from EVERYONE. And, of course, in the final month before the wedding, I was running around like CRAZY! The whole week before the wedding, I barely slept because I was working on so many last minute details...

I used to get the same thing all the time...I distinctly remember one of my friends saying that my wedding was going to take forever to get here...now it's 7 months away! Time certainly does fly!

shorty, trust me you don't have THAT much time. I'm finding thatout now too. I had 3 years until the wedding when i got engaged THREE YEARS...now it's down to two, and I feel like NO time went by at all and I got nothing done, and in a month when it's 2005, and I'm going to think 'OMG, my wedding is next year!' and in NY vendors get booked up pretty quickly!

I have six months to go and I got engaged 1 1/2 years ago. Time is definately flying!

I thought I would never be here.

Well, even though I still feel like I have forever to go I will agree with you that time has been flying! I feel like I blinked and 2004 is almost over...I started out with like 790 days from when we chose our date and today I am at 399!

You're right. I got married 2 years and 2 months after I got engaged. It seemed like FOREVER at the beginning, but it went by so fast!! Enjoy not having to cram all the planning into a few months and having time to make your decisions.
