Homeowners Insurance on Condo/Townhouse?

How much are you paying for homeowners insurance if you own a condo or townhouse? We are hearing all different rates from friends. Someone in the same complex pays over $700 and 2 others pay under $200. We were quoted for around $150. Thanks for any help!

We just purchased a townhouse in October. Our homeowners for the year was $900 with Statefarm and just switched to Allstate for $740.

Kimberly, remember your rate also depends on your deductibles, personal injury amount, and priceof replacement of personal belongings.

Something to consider when you look at the cost range.

Thanks ladies. I can't believe what a huge difference in price there is on insurance. We are going to go with the lowest for the first year since we own no furniture and hardly anything else for the house. We have $46000 in replacement and we have nothing even close to that if anything does happen. Also we have a $1000 deductible. So hopefully I will never have to use it. Thanks again for the help.
