MOG Dress Question - Your Opinions Needed !!

My BMs are wearing black strapless gowns.
My FMIL made this huge issue of how my mom was supposed to choose her gown FIRST to be sure FMIL didn't 'take' the color my mom wanted. blah blah. - So I call FMIL to tell her my mom got her gown. It's black.
I didn't care what color my mom wore. I just wanted her to LOVE the way she looked.
So now, my FSIL tells me that FMIL will probably get black too.....Now I totally understand black is black and 80% of the guests will be wearing it as well.......But HELLO! She made this huge issue BEFORE my mom got her gown about how she was not supposed to get the same color.....and now she is going to do just that ? -
Let me just add, I don't think my FMIL owns a piece of black clothing! She wore pale pink to FBIL's wedding last year........
What do you think ? Is my mom wrong to be a little ticked off ??

no shes not wrong...what if u tell her black pales her out? perhaps navy? or royal blue?

or better yet, tell her ur disappointed bc u thought she looked beautiful in pale pink at FBILs wedding...and u were really looking forward to seeing her in a great pastel
